On by default. Other members can see your name, photo, headline, location, work, skills, interests, links and the events you've attended. Your email address and phone number are never shown, whichever way this is set. Turn it off and no other member can find you, open your profile or message you.

On by default, and only does anything while the switch above is on. Turn it off and members can still see and follow you, but the Message button disappears from your profile. Conversations you already have stay in your inbox.

Tailored to the interests above — untick this to stop all of them.

Your name and photo appear to other members on events you're attending. Attendee lists are members-only and never public; untick this and you disappear from them entirely, including from events you've already said you're going to.
